Owwwwiiieeee.

For both Chase and momma.

Why?

{Chase's bottom two teeth have emerged}
I wondered when it would happen. I've heard they can teeth for months without getting teeth, so I held onto the hope that he would be one of those baby's that didn't get a tooth until one years or older!

And here we are. Chase.
5 1/2. months. old. young.
Too young, in my opinion and not just because I am afraid of being bit while nursing.

Although, that has already been a bummer. Oh man. I thought it was painful when I first began nursing, but this tops that by far. I can't even express how hard Chase {bites}, already. This makes a girl want to call it quits on breastfeeding! Although it's hard, I will say... no blood drawn yet. AMEN!
Eeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Speaking of "owwwwiiieeees". Chase has a special way of saying "I love you". Check it out.

 I TRIED to capture it, haha. Coming soon: Pictures of his "teefers"... AND his 5 month photos once I edit them! (I am a slacker, yes)

week 14; Movements from within.

Week 14;

Baby:
This week's big developments: Baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and even suck it's thumb!! His/her facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny form one expression after another. (can't wait to see that!!) I hope to catch him/her sucking it's thumb in our next ultrasound! He or she is 3 1/2 inches, size of a lemon!

Mama:
I FEEL THE BABY MOVING (13 wks)!
I first felt it tuesday morning in a staff meeting, and froze and waited... felt little pokes and then turned to Ted with huge eyes. From there I've really waited, even laid down and waited to feel more, and I do! I recognize it all of the time now! Especially when I am sitting, or laying down!!

I am still sick here and there, and have recently watched what foods may trigger the sickness, and have cut them out. A little late, I know! I eat at the our base a lot, due to finances, and the food choices kill my stomach most days. I crave cucumbers & potato chips right now, oh and I am waiting to get my hands on a chocolate chip muffin (Isaac Murphy mentioned they had them at home, ever since I have been craving that)! We recently packed up clothes & such to move temporarily to our mountain campus, so the travel up to higher elevation has given me even worse bloating! Somedays I look (or maybe just feel like) I am farther along than I really am.

Well that's about it! Please leave comments and let me know if I miss sharing something you want to hear, if that makes sense!

Love,
Jami &  baby E (as we are calling baby)

Hugging the Bathroom Floor & My Nightmare Shopping Story.

I've recently hit the "peak" of my morning sickness, or so I've heard. Since last Sunday I have not only had my typical all day sickness (not morning sickness for this mama), but I've also had a lot of trips to the bathroom. I was complaining a few weeks back about how I wouldn't mind the nauseousness if I could also throw up every time I felt awful....

I spoke too soon, yet again. With every meal or snack that comes my way (with the expectionof freezy pops), I make a run for the nearest bathroom.

Thank you God, Thanksgiving Day I was able to keep the wonderful traditional foods down and avoided the foods which I knew would end with a trip to the bathroom.

I am 9 weeks pregnant, and feeling it. I think the biggest change in my body this week is not only the more frequent trips to a trashcan or bathroom, but my stomach now looks pudgy & round! It is a mix of water retention & the fact that my uterus is now bigger than a large grapefruit & about the size of a small melon. Crazy!

(If you happen to be a man, stop reading here... trust me.)

The BIGGEST change in my body is my breasts. Yes, I AM talking about this... and I really doubt guys read this blog, or at least for this post's sake I hope not!

Wednesday evening when my mom and sisters came to pick me up for Thanksgiving, we went shopping & with my mom's encouragement I went into my first maternity store. (I needed encouragement because I wasn't quite ready). My mom asked the lady to measure me... so she did and I about died. And the tears came as I stood in the dressing room trying on the bras that I never thought I would fit into, ever.

I have already managed to outgrow not one but two bra sizes... bringing me from a B to a D. My jaw dropped and tears formed when she told me I was already a size C 1/2 and would definitely be a D by the time the baby arrives. For those of you who know me, I am short & small which means I will probably topple over one of these days.

OH MY WORD!

Well, thanks for listening, again to my pregnant babbling!
