Not Me!

I am not jealous of my baby boy's eyelashes. Nope, not me!

For the past two weeks, while my usually mellow lil guy became fussy throughout the day and restless/upset throughout the night, I did not accept advice that "this is normal" and I did not take the advice and even let him cry it out a few times when in fact he was teething! I know my child better than that, so nope not me!

I did not shed a few tears of frustration and tears of exhaustion almost every night last week due to those ^ restless nights.

Because of how much I do not like photography and documenting things, I do not look through my photo albums to help me remember what I did not do the past week :)

I am not thriiiiiiiilled happy that we have the house to ourselves for the next 10 days!

On Monday last week, I did not forget a "just in case" outfit for Chase and when he had a blowout-poo, during staff meeting of course, I did not have to walk out, change the mess and walk back in with a partially nakey boy! I plan better than that, so nope, not me!

I did not post even more ridiculous, yet cute, videos of Chase this past week.

I am not thinking more and more about having another baby, sooner than I thought I ever would. When people ask me about how many kids we want to have or when do you want another baby... I do not reply with "I would honestly get pregnant again now or in a few months if it weren't for the c-section"... Chase is so young, that would be craaazy, nope not me!

I am not veggin' out this afternoon and I am not watching the Tyra show as I type. Such a waste of time, so nope not me!

Chase did not beginning teething in the last two weeks. Not my child, not at 3 months old! :*(

Due to the teething, my boy does not constantly stick his fingers in this mouth, knawing away and ultimetely gagging himself and occasionally vomit because of this!

During the worship time at church, Chase did not gag himself with his fingers (yes, again) and vomit down the front and the back my dressy black sweater.

While mommy was at work Friday, he did not have one, two THREE blowout poos by the time we left that evening!

It Begins...

And it does it explain the restless nights ...annnnd the constant drooling, the knawing of fists, the fussiness and slight fever. I wasn't truly convinced until today. My mom found 'em. I have now felt one, possibly two baby bulges on his gums. Teeth are making their way up. Already?! I Already feel like I gave birth to a one month old and not a newborn and now this! Poor buddy.

I have found a new favourite diaper!

A few weeks ago I signed up for a free sample and my aunt signed my up as well (which, I promise, I didn't know)! The size just barely fit Chase, so I'm not sure how many of you can actually get a sample size that will fit your baby, just check it out. I love the feel and most importantly, Chase is completely satisfied with the feel. We haven't bought a box yet! I will know for the next little one which ones to choose right away because they only go to size 3 which is what Chase needs.

Right now we are finishing up a large pack of diapers from Sam's Club- I don't want to waste the money so I am still somehow managing to put them on Chase. We almost have one blowout a day (today was 3 blowouts!) and I wonder when I will just get over it and move onto size 3?!

My second fav is Pampers Swaddlers and can get them reasonably at Sam's club in a huge box! I also like huggies but now that they've created pure and natural... yay! They are so soft! I will never again use Parent's Choice diapers because we had too many blowouts and he doesn't like the feel.

Yep, I have a texture baby! He is very much a texture baby. Also, nothing can touch his face while sleeping unless it's ultra soft. Thankfully we have a few blankies and a froggy snuggly to suffice.

If I was doing cloth, I would be doing SO many loads of laundry! Defeating one of the purposes of a cloth diaper :) This boy pees and poos so much and large quantities too!

Somehow I managed to sleep through all of the noise of 108 new students arriving and having a welcome breakfast together!

This is just a few of the photos I've taken over the past few weeks. I just got a new phone and was sad to let my other one go because it had 852 pictures on it! Probably 100 we're from before Chase came but the rest were all after! Ted and I couldn't believe my piece of crap camera held that many!

It's moments like this where I don't feel ridiulous for always pulling out my camera phone and snapping these. Recognizing the precious memories and documenting them. It's totally a Jami thing to do and I hope I do it with all of my kiddos!

Chase still hasn't completely (by himself) rolled over from his tummy to his back. He prefers to roll over from back to tummy, which freaks me out because he has almost rolled out of his swing, his bouncer, his carseat and changing tables! He gets close while on his tummy but then just scoots and scoots and scoots backwards. It is cute but I'm hoping he will roll over tummy to back soon!!

Chase turned 3 months yesterday! (I am now doing month to month, so every 18th is a new month). I cannot believe how fast time is flying by. I will post pictures of his 3 month photo shoot soon!

A little confession... I can't help but think about getting pregnant again! Crazy huh? Emotionally I am back to normal and realizing that the birth plan changing was in fact very difficult but it will not stop me from having all of the children we want. I can't wait to see Chase as a big brother!

Harvest Farm Trip & Randomness.

Here are some photos of our trip to the Harvest Farm in Ft. Collins, CO. We went with my mom and the Murphy fam 3 weeks ago. Thanks Madre for getting the photos up so I could steal them!

Grandma showing him the baby goat is nice. Earlier, when a big goat came up and put his face in Chase's, he got excited but as soon as the second goat came out of nowhere, he freaked out! Other than that, I think he enjoyed the day ;)

We enjoyed fall while it lasted. I say 'enjoyed' because the trees are already turning ugly (in most places) and it has snowed 4 times now!

Chase grew overnight this past week, I swear. It's crazy to me how fast he is growing physically and mentally. Bittersweet! I love each new milestone and lil roll but at the same time, it means he is growing up! Some fun facts/milestones of the past few weeks;

• He now loves to "play with his food" meaning while he is nursing he'll pull of randomly and start smiling, cooing, screaming for fun and then when I smile in return, he DIVEBOMBS um.... his food source. It's hilarious! I would video it but... kinda awkward :P
• He giggles. Not all of the time but when he does... oh my WORD your heart melts!
• His new play toy is his feet. One morning 2 weekends ago, Chase was lying in bed between us and Ted would take his foot and touch his toe to his nose. Chase thought it was funny and from that moment on we catch him constantly watching his feet! Like "what are these?"! It's both cute and funny!
• He sucks and chews on everything! If he wears a hoodie, it's the zipper. When he's in the car seat, it's the soft muchkin' shoulder pads. When he can't find anything, he sucks on his fist or both fists. I thought maybe he was teething, but can't feel anything coming in yet. Thank goodness! That takes nursing to a whole new level I hear!
• He responds. You talk, pause, he talks, pauses, you talk, etc.!

I just realized how often I make the boy noises, when I talk to Chase or move him from here to there or whenever. Hmmm, I wonder what I will do when I have a little girl?!
